Harness Courses
According to IPAF data, falls from the platform are one of the major causes of injury or fatality associated with using MEWPs. Awareness and understanding of how to correctly use a harness is critical to safe operation of boom-type MEWPs.
We offer 2 IPAF harness courses:
Harness Awareness Course (HA) – Typically for those who do not need to personally use or wear a harness such as managers, planners, safety professionals and supervisors. This course consists of theory training and a test which can be completed remotely via eLearning.
Harness User Course (HU) – Typically for those who do need to use or wear a harness themselves such as MEWP operators. The HA Course must be completed first, then candidates will attend an IPAF training centre to complete their HU Course practical assessment. This course assessment can be incorporated into a candidate’s MEWP Operator Course.
